COLO SPRGS, CO (June 14, 2023) – USA Shooting (USAS) has entered into a strategic partnership with the new powerhouse conservancy, The International Order of T. Roosevelt (IOTR). The IOTR has committed to donate $1 million to USA Shooting over the next 10 years through an annual grant of $100,000.

“I’m proud to announce this important partnership between two of the most prominent and relevant American institutions,” said Jim Mitchell, chairman of the board, USA Shooting board of directors.  “The shared values of USAS and IOTR make this partnership a natural and complimentary alliance dedicated to fundamental American values of conservation and competition. This partnership will be an example of cooperation and mutual benefit that will advance American excellence.”

The IOTR is a proactive hunting and conservation foundation focused on protecting the rights of hunters and sustaining the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. The organization was founded on the ideals of Theodore Roosevelt in 2022.

This generous and timely support for USA Shooting will help fund our athletes at the most important international competitions. 2023 is a crucial year for our athletes leading up to the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Many International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Cups will take place over the course of the year as well at the 2023 ISSF World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, the Para World Championships in Lima, Peru, and the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.

“It is a great privilege to be associated with a world class organization such as IOTR,” said Craig Kozeniesky, USA Shooting chief executive officer. “They are leaders in conversation through responsible hunting and represent the finest efforts of preserving heritage and the American way of life. USA Shooting is exceedingly grateful for this extraordinary generosity as this will significantly assist our athletes and staff in preparing for competitions at the highest levels during the upcoming World Championships and Pan American Games. The importance of strong performances in 2023 cannot be overstated as we ramp up for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.”
