Eugene Marshall is a US Army veteran, an accountant, a father of three, a husband, and the owner of E.F Marshall Agency, a life insurance brokerage. He was born and raised in the inner city of Washington, DC, and currently has two beautiful kids (Alexis and Tyshaun) at the ages of 15 and 17, respectively. Eugene graduated high school in 2007 and obtained two degrees (Bachelor’s and Master’s) in accounting before finding the life insurance industry.
Eugene has achieved much success in his career, especially after he stumbled into the insurance space in March of 2021. In his first ten months, he was able to service over 300 families and build an agency serving over 50 families a month. In 2021 he received the “Rookie of Year” award and was a Gold Producer. This was done while still working as a full-time accountant and US Army service member.
He wants to be perceived as a hard-working individual with a passion and desire to win by any means. He studied and learned the industry and simply just went to work. Eugene is a firm believer that action speaks louder than words and, in this way, he made a name for himself. He also faced some obstacles to get to where he is now. The obstacle he currently faces is scaling his business at a higher level, as he doesn’t feel he had touched enough lives with this fantastic opportunity. He is in the top 1% of his industry, proving it by his consistency and results.
Some advice he has is unique for the people within the industry, as he a product of being coachable. His advice would be to find a good leadership team and buy into it. The sooner you do, the better results will be. He knew nothing when he first started but still managed to take the industry by storm.
His biggest purpose and passion is, first and foremost, his family. Being able to support and provide for them is his number 1 priority.
